Planning a successful event is largely about attention to detail. This page is intended to try and answer some of the more common questions that clients pose to us. Please feel free to email or phone us if there's anything you'd like to know that isn't covered here.

What is the cost for a hog roast, barbeque or other catering service?

Our prices are based on a number of factors such as location, number of guests, date of event and choice of menu etc. Every customer and every event is different so pricing is also individual. When you make an enquiry with us, we will take the details of your event and your individual requirements and then prepare your own personal quotation. Our prices are always competitive and we like to pride ourselves on offering a menu to suit all budgets and all occasions.

What does the price include?

Our quotation will cover the cost of all the ingredients, their preparation, cooking and any appropriate condiments. We will provide at least one fully trained chef who will be in attendance for the duration of the event and, if necessary, a trained catering assistant. We will provide all the catering equipment needed to prepare your food and a smart, commercial grade gazebo for our staff to work from. We will supply LPG to fuel our ovens, barbeques etc. but would ask that you could give us access to a 240v electric supply if we need extra lighting in our preparation area.

Can we provide our own salads, desserts etc? 
Yes. We understand that our customers have varying requirements and budgets and so we aim to be as accommodating as possible. We are happy to provide all or part of the catering for your event.

Are all of the staff fully trained?

The Whole Hog Catering Company takes staff training very seriously. We exceed all legal requirements required by relevant authorities. Our five-star rating with The Food Standards Agency is testament to the work we do to ensure that public safety is at the forefront of our business. As well as producing and serving delicious food at your event, all of our staff are committed to treating your guests courteously and will treat your venue with respect. 

Is cutlery and crockery included in the quote?

We don't provide crockery and cutlery but can recommend rental services in your area. We can provide quality disposable plates, cutlery and napkins if needed, at a small cost.

Can you cater for special diets?

Absolutely! Because of our extensive catering experience, we are able to cater for almost any special dietary requirement. We have a large repertoire of dishes particularly suited to vegetarians, vegans and those with food allergies and intolerances. It is important to us that each and every one of your guests can enjoy the food we offer.

Is there a minimum number of people you cater for?

No. There is no minimum number of people we cater for, however, there is a minimum price. This is based on factors such as time of year, day of the week, menu choice and location.

Do you cater for public events?

Yes. As long as there are likely to be enough people to enjoy our food, we will be happy to discuss catering for sporting events, fetes, exhibitions etc.
